Potential sourcing regions include:
- Europe & Mediterranean
- Middle East & Arabian Gulf
- West & North Africa
- United States & Americas
- Asia-Pacific
Product availability and sourcing decisions are subject to commercial viability, origin, specification, logistics, counterparty due diligence and applicable trade and sanctions requirements.
Storage, Terminals & Logistics
Physical petroleum trading requires the ability to move products efficiently between seller and buyer.
Silvershell Energy therefore works with appropriate third-party infrastructure and logistics providers to coordinate:
- 01Refinery
- 02Terminal
- 03Storage
- 04Vessel
- 05Import Terminal
- 06Distribution
- 07Customer
Product Quality & Inspection
Product quality is fundamental to our trading operations.
Petroleum products are traded according to agreed contractual specifications, and where required, independent inspection companies may be appointed to verify product quality and quantity.
Depending on the product and transaction, documentation may include:
- Certificate of Analysis
- Certificate of Quality
- Certificate of Quantity
- Certificate of Origin
- Bill of Lading
- Cargo Manifest
- Inspection Report
- Commercial Invoice
- Terminal Documentation
Product specifications and certificates are reviewed against the requirements agreed between buyer and seller.
Our Trading Approach
At Silvershell Energy, we do not view energy trading simply as buying a commodity in one location and selling it in another.
We seek to understand the entire transaction:
- 1.Where is the product?
- 2.Who controls the supply?
- 3.What is the specification?
- 4.Where is the demand?
- 5.What is the benchmark and differential?
- 6.What are the freight and storage economics?
- 7.How will the transaction be financed?
- 8.How will the cargo reach the customer?
- 9.Does the transaction satisfy our compliance requirements?
Only when these elements align can a physical commodity transaction move efficiently from opportunity to execution.
Compliance & Responsible Sourcing
Silvershell Energy is committed to conducting international energy trading responsibly.
We do not knowingly source or trade petroleum products or crude oil of sanctioned or prohibited origin, nor do we knowingly transact with prohibited counterparties.
Our approach includes appropriate:
- KYC/KYB
- Beneficial Ownership Verification
- Sanctions Screening
- Cargo Origin Verification
- Vessel Screening
- Product Documentation
- Counterparty Due Diligence
- AML Controls
- Trade Compliance
Where appropriate, we also examine vessel history, cargo provenance, shipping documentation and chain of custody as part of transaction due diligence.
